Who is Bambi?
Bambi Godkin, both a local artisan and educator in our community, is currently fighting breast cancer. In an effort to help her win this fight her friends are holding a benefit show to help with medical and living expenses needed.
About the Benefit Show
Sunday, March 6th, 2016 Martin's Downtown, located at 413 1st Street SW, Roanoke, VA 24011, is hosting a rockin' benefit show for Bambi Godkin who is currently fighting breast cancer.
There will be awesome live performances by local bands My Radio, The Floorboards, Tobacco Apache, Empty Bottles and Joy Truskowski.
While there, you'll also have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction - with the chance to bid on a $250 room rental at Beliveau Estate Winery in Blacksburg - PLUS massages, pedicures, dinners and gift certificates from other area businesses. This means, that in addition to a kick ass show, you could also be going home with something stellar!
There is a suggested donation of $10 at the door with all proceeds going directly to Bambi for medical needs and other related expenses. (View this event on Facebook.)

Get Your Yearly Mammogram!
Just as a reminder, please remember to get your mammograms, ladies! Bambi’s breast cancer was detected at her first mammogram at age 40. Changes to breast tissue, however, were not detected by her GYN just prior to her preventative mammogram.
About the Silent Auction
The benefit show will include a silent auction with products and services graciously donated by local businesses.
